Hey guys, just doing some research for possible conversion in the future..

can someone please tell me the weight of one of these babies..

Thanks

if someone can compare this to the weight of an LS1 ? (just the engines, not gear box aswell)

The 1UZ is about 390 pounds, which im sure is much lighter than a LS1 even though im not sure how much it weights.

LS1 is all aluminum, and less cams, plastic intake, etc. I doubt the 1UZ is lighter.

oops, I thought it was an iorn block, nevermind then.........

Its a push rod motor though right?

LS1 is all alloy, I dont know exact number either but they are lighter than an ancient 202!!

I'm pretty sure the LS1 weighs 177-193kg (not sure if that includes gearbox or not)

im trying to find out what the 1UZ-FE weighs in comparison
390 pounds u say... im from australia so i guess i better find a conversion to kilograms

1 pounds = 0.45359237 kilograms

390 *0.45359237 = approx 177kgs

Is it 390 pounds for just the engine or does that include gearbox?

1 Uzfe Out Of Crown (front Sump)with All Accessories Weiged 215kg Without Gearbox Then Less Than 190 Without Alt ,p/steer Pump ,a/c Compressor , Fan Pump And Lots Of Plastic Covers And Cats Removed.

only thing missing was the aircon and the plugs for the main wiring loom chopped off going off the motor, who needs air con its just extra weight!

This one is from a '94 SC400. Obviously with wiring harness, ignitors, MAF, flex plate, oil pan. No accessories or exhaust manifolds.
