Hi all hope your well, I recently put a 1996 LS400 1uzfe into my Toyota surf 1993.
All went well apart from the original ecu being immobilised I have an ecu from a 1995 which gets the car going although it has some gear change faults.
I have the original key, amplifier and sensor that goes around the barrel but I neglected to get the immobiliser ecu from the doner car. On reading a few threads on here it seems that the ecu is very hard to get un-immobilised.
Do I need the immobiliser ecu?
Can any one from the same year work?
Has anyone solved this problem before?
