Under bonnet air temps

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
What about restriction in the exhaust? (colapsing cat or muffler)
Can cause over heating & loss of power if really blocked.
Not sure what you've checked or tried so just throwing some ideas around.
 
after alot of monwy and time i finally sorted it out i think

new 3 core rad was 550 very heavy unit

due to rad being hticker my old themro could not be fitted

so i fitted an 11 in and 10 in fans more money

today is a hot day and with car stationary and bonnet shut

the temps on scanner says 97 when fans on and 95 when fans off

i let it run for 20 minutes and still temps stay around 95

so i think its ok for now

the new radiator has 40 to 50 % more water capacity

and with 2 small thermos i spread the cooling

so it all seams ok for now

mind u after the engine had not been run for 5 days it took few seconds for oil to get up and was bit noisy hehe

luckily i get these engines pretty cheap

hey has anyine had a scanner on their 1uz im wondering if tyhe temps its showing me are accurate or normal for one of these

i have a snap on scanner if anyone wants to get some reading

My 1uz sat stationary for 6 weeks, didn't make any wierd sounds when starting.
Oil pressure is usually up before the motor even starts.
 
mine has made funny knocks when startin after long period of time

anyway theyre throw away engines to me
