Lexus LS400 & SC400 A341E Transmission

DESCRIPTION

The A341E automatic transmission is a 4–speed Electronically Controlled Transmission with an intelligent control (hereafter called ECT–i) developed exclusively for the Lexus LS400. The A341E automatic transmission has the following features.

_ When shifting the transmission, the engine torque is controlled and the clutch hydraulic pressure in the transmission is electronically controlled to reduce transmission shift shock.

_ A new type of ATF (ATF Type T–II) is used which provides improved shifting characteristics and prevents deterioration in the AFT over time.

HINT: For the A341E automatic transmission, use ATF Type T–II or equivalent.

_ A super flow torque converter is used to improve the transmission efficiency.

The A341E automatic transmission is mainly composed of the torque converter with lock–up clutch, 4–speed planetary gear unit, the hydraulic control system and the electronic control system.

To minimize the possibility of incorrect operation of the automatic transmission, a shift lock mechanism has also been added.

    I have fitted an 1uz vvti 4spd autobox with standard prewired management system, now that im done it doesn’t shif gear while driving..any ideas of how to find the reason for this?

  2. I have a 1997 Lexus LS 400 that needs a Detent Cable/ Kick down cable/DTS Cable, I hope I am using the correct name for it. I have been on several site and cannot find this part. Can you help find this part? and correct name for it. This part goes to the transmission for helping to change the gears out or something to that effect.

    I am UK resident, I have a disabled 1997 Lexus LS 400. 2 months without!
    I damaged beyond repair, the transmission oil cooler pipe, Part No 32921-50060.
    I cannot find a replacement, ‘discontinued’ part.
    Can you possibly assist ?

Jai un ls 400 1992 ma transmission a commencer a fair des sienne un matin jai parti mon char et jai embrayer le reculon, ensuite le drive et je suis decoller et la 2-3-4 embarquais pu jai arreter de le prendre 2 semaine et il est redevenu corect sa me la refait et il est redevenu correct apres 2 jours..je me demandais si sa pouvais etre juste un sensor ..ou sinon quoi et jai une autre question jaurais aimer changer la transmission pour une manuel et garder mon moteur ..esquil y a une transmission manuel qui fit

    My 4 speed Auto box catching gears when its cold qnd it moves backwards and forward, but as soon as it gets a bit hot then I get nothing, it goes into gear but doesnt want to move.
    Any advise there?
