Would This Be A Sin?

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
I'm a bad boy.

Yep I am already doing a conversion for a customer Q45 into a 280 zx with a manual box conversion as well as a haltech e11 ecu.
should be a challenge as they are a wide engine .
nothing a grinder and welder cant fix.
Regards oz
PS do you want to see pics???

Yeah post some pics Scott!!!

A mate is looking into dropping one into his 97 TI GQ Nissan Patrol 4x4.....I reckon it'd be a cool swap......

As for sticking one in my Toyota....no thanks....

That Infinity engine is a very good choice from what I have seen and read. Right up there with the IUZ..'s. That would be my third choice of engine after the Iuz..'s for reliability and power. I believe those engines are rated a little over 300hp at stock.

Not a bad choice at all if you were to dare venture outside of Toyota. I honestly have been thinking about the Chevy Vortech engine alot...shame on me...Man the only problem with the IUZ's is they are all to small in size.....4.0,4.3,4.7 liters :(

Honestly, I have seen one of the Nissan Vk45 engines stripped after a main bearing failure and
I can't say I was to impressed. Of course it's solid but the engineering is nowhere near as
neat
as the Toyota UZ's.

When it comes to physical size the Nissan is not in the same league as the 1UZFE. It's big and
it's heavy, so squeezing it into an engine room meant for a 4 cylinder engine will be an even
bigger challenge than the 1UZFE.

If I was to choose a different aluminium V8, I'm afraid I'd end up with a Ford 32v Cobra engine.

uatronic- That suprises me because I have only heard great things about those engines. I have never broken one down...I still love my IUZ-fe.....

MintKenDishin- These cars are known to run great beyond 200,000 miles if maintained properly. Buy a Lexus sc that has been dealer serviced regularly and you can't go wrong... I owned one once with 300,000 original miles and it ran great. That car was dealer serviced regularly. That is the key "serviced regularly". Good luck

very cool engine. definitely a sin to put one in an sc. itd be a very cool swap for any of the datsun/ nissan z cars, a 240sx or a rwd equipped infiniti thats got a 6 cyl in it. but for putting the nissan/ infiniti engine into the lexus, for presenting the idea you should feel great great shame.

There is a guy here in Norway that is putting a vh45 into his 240Z. He will probobly be finished this spring. He has a goal of reaching over 800hp, but time will show.

He had a vg30 single turbo with over 500rwhp in it before he started this swap.

If I ever were to swap out my Lexus engine, I would only consider a LS7 and 6 speed ZF tranny...But that is sacrilage, so I decided to Twin Turbo...

why not both? a twin turbo 366cid or even a 427 would be badass. the LS1 may be a 350, but whos to say you cant bore and stroke that demon of a motor.

wouldnt the 4.7liter out of the tundra be more straight forward as well as yielding more displacement and allowing you to keep a toyota engine in the bay?

My Grandmother has an R31 Skyline Silhouette that has only 65,000km's on it.

I plan to put a VH41 in it if I ever inherit the car.
I've already lined up the motor.
