WILL NOT START AGAIN, ECU Issue

Im about to throw my car in a river right now.

This is the 2nd time this has happened. First time I was at a car show and when I was going to leave, my car just cranks, but nothing else. I noticed that the CEL was NOT on when it was in the "ON" position, which it should be. I found a relay that was busted and it worked.


Well today, it happened again. Came home, then was going to leave to get some food. Just cranks again. Once again, NO CEL light on in the "ON" position.

So I grabbed some new relays and popped them in the same one that died before. This time... it just cranks and nothing else. CEL is NOT on still.

So I know its an ECU issue. Lack of power getting to it or something. I checked EVERY fuse, all tested in the volt meter as OK. Changed out what relays I had and same thing.

CEL is not coming on in the ON position, car just cranks, no spark what so ever.


Where do I even go from here. Im getting so sick of these random bullshit problems.

Is it possible that you have a bad coil?

Check the coil, sparkplugs & the wires, check fuses.

Would any of those minus the fuses not make the check engine light come on before cranking like it should?

the car has two coils, it will still run on 4cyls even with a bad coil or ignighter
its very unlikly that both coils went bad.

but we know its not the ecu, we just put his ecu in my car.

bad earth.

check your starter solenoid, your ignition earth and the main battery earth.

OK whoa, my car just started to work again this morning - CEL now comes on before the car starts like normal. WTF - where do I go from here?!
