whers this go please??

sorry for all the questions, but can someone tell me what this does and where should it go??
(and where i can get a decent workshop manual on these engines??cd's off ebay are no good it seems.(have 2, but they are rubbish,no indepth info at all))



its the valve thingy in middle of shot with the reducer that looks like it should have a pipe on it going somewhere...can i just block it off?

That's the VSV valve.

It purges the charcoal canister when the engine is at idle.

Essentialy the vacuum hose is connected to the canister and it open when vacuum is greatest to clean vapour from the system.

The canister is plumbed into the breather outlet on the fuel tank.
