I installed a divorced wastegate in my 7MGTE, but I can't figure out what those threaded holes at the head of the waste are for. It has 2 of them, one in the middle and the other aside. One hole I have installed from the side of the head to the turbo. The holes I'm asking are open, where do they go?

Thanks

Take a picture. It'll be easier to tell.

It's not shown up. I think there have been a problem with uploading picture on our site here. There're several criterias to meet to post the pictures.

You have to log out and then log back in and then it will let you view the attachment. Dont know what, but that always works for me.

As for the port fitting in question, leave it open unless you are using a feedback style boost controller (i.e. most electronic controllers).
It really should have a filter of somesort on it, but not needed. Just what ever you do, dont plug it or block it totally, doing so will cause it to be air locked and will cause an over boost situation.

Those are boost ports. The one on the side will open the WG valve at the spring load pressure. The one on the top is for a boost controller that is equiped to help keep the gate closed until it is needed. It works like this: at medium to high boost levels the controller will pressurize the port to increase the ability for the WG to remain closed against the building exhaust backpressure. At the same time it blocks boost going to the actual port that will open the gate. Once the correct boost is reached this is reversed and boost control is achieved. This prevents premature boost bleeding.

my gate has three threaded holes... the same ones in the pic, plus an extra one at the top, in the middle... its smaller than the others... what is it! lol

The center hole is for a bolt which goes in it to adjust the spring pressure.
you don't have to use it if its not there just plug it up with a short bolt, make sure you get the right thread.

3rd hole

I thought that hole was for support only, so the WG head won't vibrate.
