Tundra Pistons

Hey Gang,

I have heard Tundra has weak pistons especially with FI application. Can anyone confirm this?

Not sure if that's true. There are a lot of Tundras running around with superchargers with no intercooler. I have not heard of any piston problems, but who knows....

One guy on tundra solutions (mjjoff) had trouble with the stock pistons on his 13sec. TRD S/C Tundra and has since gone with a new pistons/rods combination.

this was due to poor tuning not due to poor pistons.
IMHO someone leaned out MJ's mix and with the advance the Unichip was pushing any engine would have failed.
