Trans cooling

What is the best way to rig up a trans cooler for warmer places (ie australia) as I seem to have the understanding running it through the radiator is not the best idea as that would probably help trans warming? So whats the best way to rig it up and could anyone post up pics or a link on how their ls's or celsiors have been set up .

Find out which hose (oil) goes in and which hose goes out from the radiator. The Transmission cooler should attached to the hose that goes out from the radiator.

If your cooler is small enough putting in the area in front of the front wheel is great if you mod the bumper cover a little to allow for maximum flow to the tranny cooler. This way its away from the engine rad and has plenty of air while moving since thats when the tranny needs cooling the most.

Yeah, it should go through the radiator first as the water in the radiator is usually cooler than the trans fluid, so it will cool the trans fluid down a bit before it goes through the secondary cooler.
