Toyota Pickup Swap

I would like to know how many of you guys have successfully swap a 1uzfe into a Toyota Pickup. I went to www.sparkracing.com today and they are doing a 1JZGTE swap into a older 1993 Toyota pickup.

The problem with 1JZ is that is a front sump and the pickup's steering rod is in the front too. He modify the oil pan (cutting it into halves) in order to make it work. I would assume a rear sump would work best like the SC400.

The rear sump would have a problem hitting the differential, though the front sump will clear the diff and steering with a body lift.

I am considering doing one next winter into my 1983 old school trail truck, it will be a hoot... imagine a 250 hp 1UZ in a 2200 lb truck, ZOOM!

hers is a pic of the truck on an RTI ramp, it is now a convertable and has a roll cage inside the cab area.

I've done the conversion into a 2wd 91 toyota hilux/pickup and I used a frount sump. Then made a custom bottom part of the sump ( cost me $160 in AUS )
