TOYOTA oil & filter vs. others?

Does anyone have info on how TOYOTA oil & oil filters compare to others like Mobil1? Would there be any problems switching to synthetic oil in the 2UZFE motor?

as my experience with my toyota powered cars... I have run mobil1 synthetic with toyota filters... never have used other filters rather than toyota filters

mobil 1 is 5W-50 - that's a HUGE weight range for something that from the factory demands a 15W-40 - ten weights thicker cold and ten weights thinnner hot.

think about that for a second yeah...?!

You can commonly get Mobil1 in 15W50 now as that is what I run just go to a Mobil depot. You can also get 10W30 and 0W30 in Mobil 1 if you want it.

And if you feel rich, Redline do 10W40 (and others) synthetic engine oils.
