Ok I was going to originally attempt to fit a Tacoma's digital cluster in somehow---but the changes since I decided to keep the original dash layout if at all possible. In the 77 Celica.

Now that I got a W58 (instead of the A340E outta my Tacoma I was ganna use), the speedo is no longer a problem.

The tach...The Celica has a good-ol 20R. Yeah---Grrrr lol. The tach operates by electrical pulses or somethin (<---means I have no idea) but I was under the impression V8's, none-the-less a 1UZ's wiring, operate under different frequencies. Is there any way to make the old Celica tach operate properly under the 1UZ?

I still have the Tacoma's cluster and could probably fit the tach mechanism on to the Celicas back RPM piece. I have no idea how its works, only that when disassembled the tack has 4 electrical connections on it. I would expect they signals come straight from the ECU, but I am not 100% because some go into the digital ODO box---I have no idea what happens in there.
