hey guys i have a quick question. i have a vortec V2 on my sc400. Same set up as lextremes i wana run 10psi. what pulley size should i use.

George

What management you running and could you post up some pics of your setup, muchly appreciated. The people that supplied your Vortech should have that info for you, they would be the people to ask.

tradewind i have a microtech ltx8s in it. my setup os exactly the same as lextremes infact he supplied me with the bracket. you can look at it on the supercharger section on this forum

George, what power are you making presently, even a guestimate is fine. I have checked out all the dyno day figures and it seems 200 -220 RWHP seems the norm for a boosted 1UZFE, I imagine they are running 6psi or so.

That doesn't seem right for a boosted 1UZFE. A normal aspirated 1UZFE is usually dynoed above 180 rwhp. As I estimate, a boosted 1UZFE should dyno at at 250 rwhp or more.

yeh those supercharged ones are crap. have a look at neils car. he made 200 rwkw on 6psi. i think the soarers need an engine management system to make big power with a supercharger. i made 162 rwkw naturally aspirated

Actually, Neil made 176rwkw on 6psi but he is still running factory management. The most powerful that I know if is Peter Taplin's which is getting 215rwkw with an SMT6 piggyback so you're right about needing engine management.

Peter's car - http://www.lexus.aus.as/

It said he was using 2 x SMT6's but he's now just using 1 for both fuel and timing.

OK, same unit like on Commodore V6 factory Supercharged. Will be a good long term setup with the Eaton. Any links to Neil's kit?
