Supercharger idler pulley

What pulley do people use to replace the normal idler for a smooth one ?
is it a specialist part or something adapted ?

I used one from a Ford Fiesta. Just go to your local auto parts store they are cheap and should have lots to choose from.

well all the motor factors dont keep any idlers in stock, can anyone tell me more info on what one to use. engine code they got theirs from etc.

go unipart, get there catalogue for idlers and have a look, my local keeps them all in stock.
thats where i got mine...

catalogue shows pics with dimensions..

there isnt a unipart near me though, the other factors have the book but there are no dimensions.

what one did you get mate ?

I had mine fabbed up so i could get as much belt wrap on the SC pulley as i could....plus still clear everything.

I was going to look up the part you needed but thought "nah he can do it himself, otherwise I might have been asked to fit it as well"

Whilst not UK based it will give you plenty of information.

You need to spend some time looking.

i looked on google for the best part of an hour and was becoming frustrated.
I never looked at an Au sites, it was all british and american ones that came up

I looked at all sites worldwide and just picked that one as it had what you wanted.There are dozens of sites that can give you similar information.

Everyone should have a hard search for information on the net and this Forum before seeking help.

Two weeks in Scotland following my Son's Pipe Band around and attending the British Pipe Band Champpionships.

Then 3 days in Paris with Helen and back home.
