I want to replace the stock subwoofer in my 94 LS400, without replacing the amp or anything else. I understand it is a 2ohm 40 watt 8" woofer, and it is difficult to find anything with the same ratings.
The closest I could find on crutchfield is a Kicker with dual 4ohm coils (i understand if I wire them in parralel that will give me 2ohm), but it is 50-200watts RMS. Would that be an overkill for the stock amp?
