Hi Guys,
Today my Garage at home was broken into and my Rebuilt R154 was stolen, I live on the NSW central coast. Just finished rebuilding it with parts I imported from the USA and Japan.
It had a CRS Bellhousing bolted to it to fit behind a 1uzfe.
I'm devastated.
Please If anyone hears about a hot R154 PM me.
I have spent much money and time on this Box for my project and was saving for a hipo clutch for it which I currently couldn't afford. Now I don't know what I'm gonna do.

Sounds like someone knew that you had the box eh
Did the cops get any dna
They have adds on tv over here how good they are
Hope you get it back & the thieves get a long time
 
That sucks..... better do some investigation with people selling a R154 to Supra MKIII or 1UZ owners.... This tranny is useless if they dont know what it is.... It wont fit Supra because it has been modified.....

Man that sucks, I'm so sorry to hear this :(

I would definitely do some investigating of my own. I hate to say this, but it sounds like someone you knew stole it. I mean, big heavy things are not easy to steal, you have to be prepared to steal something like a tranny. Maybe a "friend" of a friend? Sorry man, hopefully it will turn up and the person who stole it will get locked up.
 
Yes it sucks really bad.
I have been trying to build a new vehicle on a tight budget as my last one was stolen uninsured (to modified to get cover)
I work hard to build my cars and look after my family and I always treat people with respect, how can someone disrespect people so easily.
I hate theives.
I'm hurtin.
I don't have house hold insurance either so I'm screwd there.
And yes only the gearbox was taken even though there is lots of other stuff in my garage.
It would seem that they were after it specifically, however no one new I had it as far as I know.
I have my doubts that the thief even knows what they have.
It was sitting in plain view on my bench, the casings had been bead blasted so it just looked brand new. Even had the shifter and yoke in it so they got the lot. Bellhousing is a new CRS Item for a 1uzfe so possibly that might pop up for sale somewhere.
At the moment I am very very angry and trying to keep it together. I just hope they dont come back for more as I fear I will kill someone, and there are no cars in jail.

I understand exactly how you feel right now.. I live in a pretty upscale area. Sometime last April, my house was broken into... The theives were in my house for at least 3-4 hours.. They turn the house upside down.

I am a gun collector with 11 high end guns (AK 47, 2 AR-15, HK 91, Sig 220 and HK M1 Shotgun.and others..... they took 7 assalt rifles and semi auto shot guns..... due to the new laws... i can not buy them now even insurance pay for them.....

I felt invaded and my privacy was violated. Total lost was about 25k....
 
So due to your collection being stolen, (im guessing from an insurance approved safe or similar) even though they broke into your house to access them and they were covered by insurance...
You are now not allowed to purchase/collect any fire arms? (even though you did everything correctly and to the letter of the law?)

I appreciate the loss of your firearms.

We recently got rolled for the contents of our wine/spirits cellar.

Don't ask what we lost but suffice to say it was a sobering loss!

Some of our booze was basically irreplaceable. I hope the thieves have a hangover!

Like Mycarpossesedme, we didn't claim on insurance as it would hurt too much over the next few years, and we own an insurance agency. Pity we only insure cars!
 
What happen is that i have something called "Pre-Ban". All those pre-ban firearms are banned forever,,,,, if you have it.. you will die with it.... I had assult firearms.... those are right at the border or legal/illegal area.....
 
This means we can go and steal Lex's cool new turbo manifolds and know we will not get hosed down by his Uzzi or AK47.

Look out Lex here we come.
 
I HAVE RECOVERED MY GEARBOX.
I got up yesterday and atarted ringing around all of the local mechanical workshops and gearbox specialists to leave my name and number with them incase someone bought my box in.
The second place I rang told me that a guy had brought my box in yesterday afternoon trying to sell it and by the way he did not have a clue what box it was.
One of the mechanics said he had a mate who might be interested and the guy left his name and number(what a dumbf#@#@wit)sorry about the language.
Once armed with his name and number I contacted a friend and we set up a buy.
No I did not contact the police, do you really think they gave a f@#k about my gearbox.
To cut a long story short I now have my gearbox back, and no i did not buy it back.
Lets just leave it there.

Although you could have done him a swap...
your new gear box for your old auto and bell housing tied arounf his legs... you could even throw in a boat trip to sweeten the deal... muahahahaha
