starting to make manifolds. need some pointers

i noticed one guy who did the tt v8 used a corolla alternator since its smaller and it gives more space for the manifold. do you know what year alternator i need for a corolla. and how would i make it stronger to produce more power. thanks

an alternator is made with fixed output capacity wich is usually dictated by winding size, unless you rewind the stator and rotor, if you could find someone to do it it would prob cost more than a whole 1uz

You can get high amps Corrolla Alternator. However, i dont think its neccessary. 2.5" should able to pass though.

really. that guy who is doing the tt kit with the turbos mounted in front said he used a corolla alternator for some reason because of clearence issues.

we were going to use the runners from the stock headers but it looks like im buying those premade 1/2 mild steel flanges off your site. much cleaner setup i think.
