Standalone ECU Standalone for Dual VVTi

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
you mean two as in one per bank or two as two on the intake and two on the exhaust?
I control the 3UZ with the AEM it has two vvti one on each bank

Linkplus G3 are fully functional on the VVT-i with a good start base map for it all ready to go. Well priced too. Cheers

he means two as in like the newer motors who have vvt on intake and exhaust cams. so a total of 4. oviously you cant have vvt on just one cam of a V motor. ;-)

David, talk to Mitch; like Arnout, he has also setup the AEM with the "older" VVTi on just the intake cams, and he should know if the AEM has enough I/O to do both sets (intake + exhaust VVTi).

The 3UZ doesn't have VVTi on the cam only, it has VVTi per bank. if you advance the intake you advance the exhaust as well. For the engine with four VVTi channels I would go with twin AEM :)

thats not correct. if you advance the intake exhaust stays fixed.

its all well and good to say what ecus 'run vvti' but whos seen one actually run a 1uz vvti or a 3us vvti. motec is the only one (as im aware) to accept the oem 3 pulse eccentric lobe signal. the motec can also run dual vvti (independent in and exhaust)... whether it can do 4 vvti (x2 intake and x2 exhaust) i have no idea. x4 vvti control solenoids, x4 reluctor cam position pickups. thats a lot of sensors

sure, many ecus can control other versions of toyota vvti, but the UZ presents as a unique PITA

the AEM accepts any timing pattern as you just program the timing pattern yourself into the tooth control table. 36-2 +3 is easy with the AEM.
I'm not too sure about the exhaust not moving with the intake, I remember the exhaust cam is driven off the intake cam, but I have to double check the mechanism

the whole crux of the vvti mechanism is that the exhaust cam doesnt move when the intake does. the ex is fixed to the crank

Why not use the OEM computer for this? You could control that nice 6 speed auto as well. They are reprogramming these ECUs for the TRD supercharger, so it sounds like to possibility to alter their tuning already exists.

I called up my Toyota sources and inquired about the TRD Supercharger related parts. I inquired about the injectors and fuel pump I can get the ECU reflash. However, the reflash is only limited to 6.5 psi and the two items above is $2,500.
