Runing 1UZFE on an engine stand

Hi all,

This is my first posting, to moderator sorry if i put in a wrong section.
Coz i'm new in this forum.

I just bought 1UZFE, complete with gearbox, wiring and ecu. And my supplier claimed 100% this engine will work fine.
Just to make sure, i'm thinking to run this engine on engine stand.

But since i'm new with this engine (i usually do diesel engine), would anyone please help me to decide what parts do i need to do that, beside fuel tank + fuel pump (i'm planning to put 255lph walbro intank fuel pump).

Or anyone have ever try to do the same thing and willing to share the project?

I have run plenty on a stand. Hook up a fuel pump and return. Wire it up and away she goes.

Wire it up, is it mean plug the wiring to the ECU?
The ECU i've got has 3 sections, each section have 40 pins
2 sections conected to the engine wiring, and 1 section only have wires opened end

Would you mind share to me which pins should i connect to the power supply?
Coz i'm trying to find my ECU diagram, but till now cant find it...
My ECU Part number's 89661-30501 or 175000-5620 12V

Here are the wiring diagrams mate.

From the plug with the wires cut off (this is the cabin loom) you will need the basics like ignition etc. Connect these up with the engine loom and you will be away.

Can you hurt anything running it on a stand with no flywheel, or anything to slow down the motor at all, for that matter?

You have to use the flexplate or flywheel as it has the ring gear on it for the starter. As long as its done right there is nothing that can get damaged. Cheers

I fired up another one on the stand today. Just prepared it to be fitted into a L200 mitsubishi 4x4 ute. Motor wiring all done , relays to do over the next couple of days and customer can collect it all ready to fit.
