Good work David! There will be plenty of room for my manifolds and dump pipe with the alternator flipped and the hydraulic fan pump running the power steering.

wow thats just what i was looking for, you top man, i was going to do this, but i was unsure that i could mount the atl that way round, and now i know i can it makes moveing the atl and remounting it alot more easy.

dam i have just been out to try and mount my atl like that only to find out theres no room, so it looks like i will have to mount it next to the PS/pump and off set it and then weld a 2nd pully on the PS/pully so i can then run a 2nd belt to that hhhmmm have to see how it go's

as you can see in the pic, theres just no room.

Unfortunately I don't think anyone knows what David used.

It shouldn't be too hard to replicate his design.

If you google reverse alternator 1UZ-FE you may get a clearer photo than what Photoshop is giving you.

V12 Jaguars reversed mounted the alternator from the factory and may be good for some ideas.

i read the great discription from lextrem, i think also, its not hard to make the parts to fit the alternator. thanks for the idea with the V12 Jags! i will look how Jag this had done.

It may only be XJ-S Jaguars that had the reverse mounted alternator.

Not sure about the Double Sixes.
