Rev limits of the 1U motors?

What is the highest known rev limit of a built 1U motor? What can they rev to stock?

Depending on the internals. For example, 2 or 3uzfe rods would rev slightly higher. Lighter internal parts and balanced system would rev much higher. However, if you with those heavy duty H-Beam, then you would not rev as high. However, there are trades off. I think the stock 1uz love to rev and the limitation would be the fuel and ECU control.

If by stock you mean untouched bottom end, the furthest I would take it would be a 8000rpm redline, maybe an 8500rpm if you need that extra bit to cross over the finish line without changing gears.

But you'll need some cams and a ECU to make power up there.

Even revving them to stock 6500 is borderline pointless on a stock ecu, stock cams.



With a custom bottom end and valve train, I've heard of some NZ stockcars beyond 10,000rpm
