Thanks, yeah it pays to shop round sometimes.

Mine XP utes a long way from a tailshaft yet and I'm steering toward a supra 5 speed now.
Does'nt matter how much thought you put into a project there are alway bugs to sort out once on the road eh. Sounds like your sorting through yours ok

WANTED: ONE GEARBOX TO SUIT CELSIOR

My gearbox just pooped itself, so i'm in the market for a replacement..

Anybody in QLD/Sydney got one they don't want?

It will need to be freighted, but I can organise the pickup..

Well.. got the box bolted up on the weekend after changing the internal wiring over from the old box... (Different connectors)

Should get it finished this week... Since starting a new job time is lacking to get work done on it in the afternoons...

Finally got time today to finish it off... everything is back to normal..

Wow! Me 3 that is a realy good step by step account of your project & you did almost(tailshaft) all of it yourself, well done & it looks great, real stealth job
As for fuel economy, N/A: i was getting around 11L/100 highway
Blown: i'm getting about 12L/100 highway (only 1 trip so far)
I'm running 3.7 to 1 with 225/60/15 tyres, click it into overdrive at 100k's & i'm doing 2400rpm

Fuel economy seems around 11L/100k. My odometer died now, so I can't check it until I get motivated to fix it..

Built a tacho, just got to install it.

Put prob 5-6000k's on it so far.. running well apart from the box failure.

Still loving the car.. A two peice tail-shaft with centre bearing when I can afford it... Followed closely by a supercharger setup..

different? not really... started with more money mabye.. :006:
