Problem

hey all i am having a problem with my 1uz fe at the moment, i went to turn it on this morning and it started to idle at under 1000 rpms ( half way down) and when i gave it some gas it sounded like it was spluttering and having trouble reving, i know its not much detail but anyone have a idea on what this could mean.

also i am getting a red light with what i guess is japanesse coming up on the dash dont know what the **** it means

Check the codes.
One of the ignitors or coils may have died too.

could it be the air flow sensor, i had a k n n put on and the guys that did it turned the sensor around so if thats f**ked could that be the cause of it???

The MAF doesn't have to be vertical to work.
So unless its come unplugged...

the problem was the ignition coil was rooted so it was running on 4 cylinders only, explains alot.

well on my lunch break, i poped out the maf top sensor, and put it back on thinking maybe the seal wasnt good since the problem is intermittent, and you put it in, press it down, then i decided to make sure it was really snug so i pushed down firmly and wiggled it left and right and it popped down lower than it was, i drove it around and it ran fine, i think maybe the maf top sensor wasnt low enough in the chamber, but time will tell. It did go lower than i had it so im betting it wasnt seated and that was cause the randomness from intermit pressure drops in the swirl chamber

i got another fresh problem.. when my car is at temperature the " battery not charging" in japanesse is coming up, but only when the car is warm. And if i keep driving it the "ABS" light comes up aswell, anyone know what the symbol the comes up and looks like a bit of pipe with lines above it means, its the symbol that is shown on the drivers sun visor, cause that comes on b4 any of the problems start....
any help would be much appreciated..
