Possible solution to piston and rod issues??

One thing that just occurred to me is the possibility of weakening the main bearing saddles and tunnel could occur if too much material were removed for the sleeve insert.

This is what i was trying to tell everyone. LS1 Sleeves will weaken the block and not advisable for FI applications.

I have been reading many posts for months on this forum about engine bore projects, pistons, etc...and being a rookie myself I would think with that little 4.0 lexus block the cyclinder walls would be wearing a little thin on 5.5 bore? What about heat? Has it ever been successfully done to date? Or is it just up for discussion? I would think the 5.0 bore would be pushing it, but that has been done I know that, what is this lexus block made out of criptonite? You guys are crazy but I like it!!!

From what I understand the 4.0 block and crank is good for a couple thousand HP in a drag application.
