I am restoring a MK3 Pilgrim Sumo, at present it has a Rover V8 engine in it and I am looking to replace this with a Lexus V8 1UZ or 3UZFE engine, ideally with a Toyota W58 manual gearbox, I am based in Cornwall UK.
What will I need ideally, engine, ecu, wiring, gearbox, adaptor but what else.
At present it has a Rover V8 radiator, will this be ok, I understand I can use the gearbox mount and I suspect I shall need to get some engine mounts fabricated, what about the pedal box, I may keep the auto gearbox if it comes with one in that case I will need a new pedal box, I also understand some newer engines have immobilizers, can this been removed.
So many questions, any help or links gratefully recieved?
Is anyone that has done this in my area, does anyone have any parts they are looking to sell?

Keep in mind the Rover engine is small in outside dimensions to the UZ family.

I have a 1UZ in Range Rover Classic and the standard radiator has done a good job, even when I ran a highly modified and supercharged IUZ.

The pedal box depends on what clearance you have from the Cylinder head.

All 1/2 UZs come as auto from the factory.

There are some manual 3UZs out there but quite rare. They came in Land Cruisers.

The immobiliser can be beaten. Do a search on this Forum as I'm sure it's been discussed.
