The other day I was luck enough to pick up a really cheap W58 off ebay which had a rear gear stick position that I needed and I was told the only thing wrong with the box was 1st gear was 'blown'. I've stripped the front half of the box and found a broken tooth in the bottom of the case which has come off the third gear drive from the front on the bottom shaft.

As I have never had the requirement before to strip a box, all the internals are new to me, however, because the box was so cheap, I thought a rebuild/overhaul would be worth while, and I might learn something, but I have no idea where to go from here.
