Oil light ?

I need to change the oil in a Lexus RX 330. The oil light is on, how do I reset it after I change the oil?

??? I haven't changed it yet. But I wanted to know how to reset the light before I change it.

ah, wouldnt the light be on if there was a problem? like low oil, or low oil pressure?

Yeah, but it also turns on every X miles to remind you to change your oil.

I think turn on your key to ignition and Push the mileage reset swith for 10 seconds.

I found this in a Lexus owners group... worth a try.

Does anyone know how to reset the change oil light that comes on every 5k. I roll a 06 IS 250 and dont feel like paying dealer prices for something that simple.

Pressthe IGN button twice without your foot on the brake, then press and hold the ODO reset button till for about 15-20 Sec. If that doesn't work check in the owners man. it is in the maintenance section under oil change.

For the 2007 while pressing and holding the odometer reset button press the IGN button twice without your foot on the brake. You'll see the display show some dashes and then 00000. Your service reminder is reset.
