Our newly elected 44th President was a senator from the state of Illinois. With his short career in polictics now he is our president for the next 4 years. However, some strange thing I heard over a talk radio this morning and it is fascinating and perhaps a coincident. The day after the presidential election, the Illinois State lottery on the THREE number Evening Pick were 6 6 6. Illinois Lottery Look into the Evening Pick on Nov 5, 2008 (lower left). Strange, coincident or end of the world is coming?

I dont like him one bit or his socialistic ways....

The craziest thing that I have seen is if you watch any documentary on what the Anitchrist is made out or believed to be. You would see that Obama fits the description 100% to a tee. Now the Illinois state lotto the day after being 6 6 6... Hmmmmm that just made everything even more interesting.....

Something tells me there is at least one conservative working for the lottery in Illinois (picked the numbers :p) and that at least one conservative in Illinois saw it coming.

LOL... Crazy or not... McCain was number 10 on the ballot and Obama was 18. 6 + 6 + 6 = 18. HMMMMMMM

As you also know Obama also the 44th president. 4 means DEATH in Chinese.... 44th..... Double Death.....

according to Evangelical Christian minister John Hagee, Anti Christ will be Gay and partly Jewish, I dont think Obama is either of those.

That one guy and evangelicalist are full of sh_t anyways.... They all are, but then again, Im drawn between being Agnostic and Atheist in my beliefs so what do I know..... Except for years spent studying different forms of religion....

Lex my friend, you are way too superstitious... That is crazy to think about never the less....

Oh an stop playing around with those damn weegie boards... :wizard:

This is our new president guys so let's give him a chance to do the job first before we already pass judgement on him... Keep hope alive, right?:usa2:

Haha like the other crowd did a top job.. They fixed a capitalist problem using socialist ways...
Off subject a little...
I am sooo glade I put my $$ into real state and managed it MYSELF!!
Rather than having CEO's driving around in expensive cars and holidays etc...Yes the value has dropped a little but its still there. Unlike others who invested in institutions...

I believe I want what works best for the Country, it's people and it's continued future.. Whom ever does the job better McCain or Obama I would ultimately want in office. Independant party if I must be labeled.. I just really don't want the economy and Country to start to fall apart because of a bone head president that makes horrible discisions if that's even possible..:loser:

I want this president to correct and finalize this pending situation in the middle east and in Iraq... I want this president to right the ship with this on going suspect economy...I want this president to lower my taxes if possible and erase the national deficit during his term in office.. Lastly I want this president to insure that in 20 years there will still be a social security system intact.. Did I also mention I want Cindy Crawford in her prime and a toilet made out solid gold, but it's just not in the cards... :dunno:

Like I said let's see what happens with this new president (Obama:afro: ), it's not like we have a choice on the matter at this point now do we?....

Last year the US was about $730 Billion in debt, I think it would be easier to start building Golden Shitters than pay off your debt in 4 years!!

I would think a tax cut may not be a possibility either....

That is why is said "it's not in the cards"... What you want is not always what you get... :(

You mean the deficit (yearly shortfall) as the actual debt (cumulative shortfalls for all years) is many TRILLIONS :eek2:

We have yet to see the Obama "plan" as the bar keeps moving which draws into questions the accuracy and honesty of the numbers and promises made so far.

My guess is he will pull a Clinton on our country and claim the middle class tax cuts cannot be made at this time (probably ever in his admin) but I can guarantee a tax increase for the "rich" which will probably start around $42k/yr when he allows the Bush cuts to expire in 2010.

Unfortunately both of these actions will reduce government revenues and create a situation where they will GUESS they must RAISE taxes yet again :hitwithrock:

We have empirical evidence to show that Reagans tax cuts (like the ones before under JFK and Mellon) actually increase Fed revenues. Actually, I seem to remember a clip of Obama acknowleging so much but going on to say it doesn't matter as the only thing important to him is FAIRNESS.

Here is one report on the data I am refering to:

http://www.house.gov/jec/fiscal/tx-grwth/reagtxct/reagtxct.htm
"Conclusion
The Reagan tax cuts, like similar measures enacted in the 1920s and 1960s, showed that reducing excessive tax rates stimulates growth, reduces tax avoidance, and can increase the amount and share of tax payments generated by the rich. High top tax rates can induce counterproductive behavior and suppress revenues, factors that are usually missed or understated in government static revenue analysis. Furthermore, the key assumption of static revenue analysis that economic growth is not affected by tax changes is di sproved by the experience of previous tax reduction programs. There is little reason to expect static revenue analysis to evaluate the economic or distributional effects of current tax reform proposals much better than it evaluated the Reagan tax program 15 years ago."

Taxation and or cost cuts are the most effective ways to reduce the national defecit... It's the cold hard truth... It's also easier to tax the rich rather then the poor... Rasing taxes for the poor or low income bread makers is political suicide...

Ironically, the world has a cruel way of penalizing the rich for being successful....

Partisan politics aside, if you're in the mood for an extremely depressing read, here's why we need to get a grip on our debt: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_public_debt

It's pretty obvious to me that the "baby boomers" in the current government have not been very good financial managers.

I just posted why increasing taxes does NOT raise revenue/reduce debt. Read what I posted and read the link. Cutting spending is effective unfortunately a sizable chunk of our economy is now based on redistribution schemes (government programs of all ilk). Cutting programs hurts the people that make their living around these programs. Short term necessary pain for long term financial stability. Either that or read up on Alexander Tyler.

its all out of control....dont suppose for a second 1 man is gonna make a difference...

it would be good if he was the antichrist then we will all know how long we all have left...
