Zuffen Super Moderator Staff member May 30, 2010 #2 Unless your O2 sensors are faulty there's no reason for it to throw a code. If you gut the cats you'll fail smog. Better for the environment and your pocket to replace the cats. They don't rob you of horsepower as most uninformed people claim.
