NSW Australia modified vehicles rules change

This proposed change WILL seriously take all the freedom we now enjoy with our cars away, so we need as many signatures as possible. Dont wait till its to late.......

You guys should stop that right away, otherwise, it'll eventually be illegal for all cars such as in my state. Basically, the car owner/driver can get a heavy ticket for a modified car in my state. A small example would be an aftermarket air intake system. But people still modify cars anyway. Why would you need to register modified cars from the first place anyway?

Once you carry out certain modifications to a vehilce it needs to be inspected and approved by an engineer certified as "acceptably qualified" and a report produced and provided to our registration authorities so they can note the modification on your car's records.

In NSW your registration papers have a code that signifies what modifications have been advised and approved. This allows a Cop or other Inspector to ascertain quickly if your car complies with the regulations or not.

Pretty repressive but that the "free" country we live in!
