just acquired a 1994 2WD toyota pickup with a 1UZFE/5 speed auto trans transplanted from '94 SC400.

i got a few dumb questions:
where is the coolant temperature sender? and will the ECU care if it is not connected to the stock gauge, or no gauge?

will the ECU care if i replace the oil pressure sender/idiot light (i'm assuming that's it attached to the oil filter housing)?

is this a zero interference engine, i.e. if the timing belt kicks is it a disaster or just a pia?

where is the speed sensor on the transmission? for that matter what transmission is this likely to be? i need to replace the mechanical speedometer.

are these engines known for leaky rear main seals?

thanks all.

water and oil sensors dont go anywhere near the ecu
so u can play with them coolant sensor is as u look at motor
at front where idle motor is its afew inches to right
u need to take front plastic cover over the spark plug leads

speed sensor is normally on drivers side 2 or 3 inches forward
from the rear most part of box
its round
