Need help with cam removal and cam seals

On a 1998 LS400 with the vvti engine it is totally different than earlier 1uz that I have owned. The cam seals do not appear to be removable from the front like the earlier models. Has anyone done this? If I do have to remove the cams to change the seals does anyone have a diagram or information that might be useful? Thanks in advance.
 
Ok so I got all that stuff done. Now there is a fairly loud ticking(all the time)and a whine(only between 1200-1400rpm) coming from the passenger side cam area. Anyone else heard of this? I really don't want to take it back apart.
 
My engine supplier has sold a few VVti engines to guys doing cambelts and ending up with issues. I leave the cam seals alone if they aren't leaking. I would guess pulling it apart carefully looking for possible issues is the best thing to do.
