So the parts below cam in a box with the engine, and as yet I've not been able to identify their purpose. anyone recognize these...

1. Small bore tube painted black, thats a cut rubber hose on one end.

2. looks like some sort of presessure sensor or switch?

3. Some sort of valve with two rubber hoses coming from it.

So what the heck are they for?

Thanks,

Doug.

Aparently I can't spell mystery either.

#3 is the power steering air valve, it bolts into the power steering pump

#1 and #2 could be fuel/brake/ps lines, not sure

no 3 you know..

no2 ain't on my car..i dont have hydro fan though.

no 1 coolent pipe going from thermostat around front of engine.mine is silver though..(and as a swap goes to rad.)

Ok so round 2 (at least) of the noob questions...

1. On the cats there are hoses, where do they go?

2. On the inlet manifold there is an additional pipe with no hose, what should it connect to?

3. The valve on the inlet controls something being connected into the inlet manifold, what should it be connected to?

4. On the plastic inlet plenum, I know where the large pipe goes but whats the small one for?

5. The small tube off of the bottom of the thermstat housing is for what?

I need to know the correct purpose for these so i can get the motor installed as stock, so "don't need it", "blank it off" or "chuck it in the bin" aren't going to work for answers.

Thanks,

1 is the over cat temp sensors
2 is the hose to the power steering idle up valve
3 is the vac line for the charcoal canister
4 goes to the power steering idle up valve
5 is im pretty sure like a water pipe and i would connect it to yr top tank in the radiator
i think water comes out of there to bleed air from cooling system
