MR2 flywheel ??

I have been looking around for a flywheel for the 1UZ, and i have seen that you can use the MR2 turbo flywheel, but with doing so i would have to get the crank bolt holes relined, and some work on the ringgear to make it work......

is that right ?? and if so will this flywheel work with the 1UZ

If you don't like your legs redrill the flywheel.

If you like them the way they are ask the seller if they can produce the same flywheel with the ring gear turned around and the correct bolt patern in it.

You may be surprised how cheaply they will make it compared to machining the ring rear, redrilling the flywheel and then re-balancing it.

so is what you are saying is not a good way of doing things ? are there any flywheels that fit the 1UZ, i only know of 1 that i can go and buy, but they are asking £450

Marcus, you might want to consider getting a flywheel from A1 Turbos in New Zealand.
I received mine a few weeks ago, total cost was £236 to Newcastle including import and vat etc.
You then use the ring gear from the flex plate.
Personally I think it's a bargain at that price, certainly compared to the costs of having a 3GSTE flywheel modified, not to mention the potential risks.
