I know these are not going to help much in the HP department but this is what we have made to fit a 1990 Nissan GQ patrol. The stock exhaust manifolds dont fit because of the T700 adaptor plate on the rear of the engine.

Between the manifolds and the chassis rails is about 20mm

So here is the pics

Bubs,

I wouldn't think they are no worse than Crown or (perhaps) Soarer manifolds.

I can't see any provision for O2 snesors. Will you run them.

Whilst these will not make ultimate power they will not too much damage.

I believe these should work better than the crown manifolds (the ones which have been squished in a vice)

the stock manifold uses 1 5/8" tube along the side of the block, we have used 2" with out a flat spot, so in thery it should be marginly better

The vehicle is using a wolf ecu and the O2 sensor will go after the Y joint

i think they are quite nice for a budget space saving system.
wouldn't mind something like that to replace my crown manifolds.
can i ask how much roughly they cost to make up?

Bubs, I edited your post to post the pictures instead of the links.

Here are the direct links if anyone needs them:

Regarding the manifolds themselves... nice to see fabrication that solves a problem, in this case a fitment problem.

It is possible that you may see a slight increase in peak HP and a slight drop in low speed TQ. This is not because of a lack of low speed backpressure but rather a decrease in directional velocity and a greater tendency to allow reversion.

I would sell a pair for $250 with all the time involved in making these

I tried to make it show the pics, doesn;t seam to work for me still?

Thanks for the information on the HP side of things, this was for my mate with his 1UZ in a patrol in my hilux project I hope to make 4-1 extractors as close to tuned length as possible. The biggest hurdle I can see is the early style engine mount being in the way. I will know for sure when i get my engine sitting in to my hilux
