The black thing on the front of the intake manifold will upload photos ASAP

Sounds like you are refering to the Idle Air Control (IAC). Wont effect hot performance but will make the vehicle shit when cold. I like to have correct cold startup and idle. What ECU are you running? Cheers

I had the air intake hoses blocked of into this unit this would explain the odd idle and why it stalled. I'll keep it on then.

One more thing looking front on to the intake manifold to the right what do the two sensors with vacuum hoses near the rocker cover breather do exactly as I have removed them aswell, thanks
