MAF Connector sizes

Hi All!!



There are two types of MAF harness connectors.

While both have 5 pins, one connector is big, another model is small connector.



What years of models each one is belong too?



We got 1997 1UZ with small MAF connector and suspect that it does not fit this model

as far as I know the early models had different mafs to later ones. Yhe early ones had an alloy body for the maf and the later ones have a black body and quite different outputs to the computer.

Our MAF is definitely the one made from alloy body.
BTW It is made by FUJI and not by DENSO as marked on the second picture above.


The engine is 1997 model, what leads to this question:



Maybe we are using the wrong MAF to this model?

ucf10 is celsior or lexus ls400

We went the engine to find that

1) As we told the engine does not have VVTI, it’s a 1997

2 We use the ECU from the later model No. 502140 With MAF from earlier model, the alloy one. So no wonder it didn’t work properly





Currently we have a Mazda MPV MAF that very similar in dimension to the MAF in the upper section of this tab (i.e. rounded rubber cylinder). And it’s serial number almost the same as the Toyota one…

Needles to say that The Mazda MAF is not really deliver the goods - Engine working smooth but does not revving and drinking fuel like a beer consumption of 1,000 football fans before the game..

The motor is probably running in limp mode, sounds like you should get the proper maf for the motor.

We should get a new MAF that fit the engine ( UCF20) and the ECU (89661-50240), soon.
