I'm trying to convince myself in the next few hours to send money in for the fish.

My car is fairly bone stock, with the except of an X-Pipe back Magnaflow Exhaust. 1992 SC400. I dont like beating on the car, I feel guilty when I do. But that little extra boost would be awesome... oh and getting oooh's and aww's when you pop the hood is nice too :tired:

Im going to be buying parts so hopefully by Spring Break / Summer I can do this easily with no problems.

My motor runs flawless as well as my tranny. Just hit 100k, all with proper maintenance.

Now, for a simple setup, going for a very clean setup but extremely reliable. What would be the best way to go about this?

1) The "Fish" SC Bracket
2) Vortech V-1 or V-2
3) Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator (with gauge?)
4) BOV (I have a 1g Eclipse BOV [which seems to be a great "stock" bov] laying around from my last car project) Can be vented or recirc'd
5) Belt - Anyone know which belt it is?
6) -3an SS Oil Feed and -12an SS Oil Drain (these SC's need oil supply right?)
7) Gauge Pod w/ AEM Wideband, Boost Gauge, and Oil Pressure
8) Enough piping to go from the SC to the TB
9) Intake
10) Big Tranny cooler (from last car)

Now... I keep hearing the car will self tune itself for 5-6psi. And with the simple adjustment of the FPR, I can achieve a good AFR for a daily driver.

Down the road will entail...
1) FMIC or SMIC
2) SAFC 2
3) Water Injection?
4) 5sp swap or TC

------

Does this sound like a good plan? Or is it one of those things I should just keep dreaming...

Few questions...

1) How will the 1uz handle 5-6psi on its ECU?
2) How will the tranny like this too? even with the tranny cooler?
3) Will it really just be a simple adjustment to the FPR to get everything feeling A-Okay?
4) I am assuming the MAF will be after the SC, before the TB
5) Will the BOV have to be recirculated into the "intake"?
6) How about the longtivity of the motor with this?

1. Stock ecu can handle it without any problem.
2. Dont need it
3. FMU will work
4. Yes
5. Depends where you place it. Before or afater maf? Use bypass would be better choice.
6. Possible 10% shorter life according to Corky Bell.
