Depends what you are doing with this car.
If you are dragracing it,a light flywheel is normaly giving you better time.
The engine have ligher rotating mas and will accelrate faster.Specialy in the lower gears.
But if this engine is modifyed and have very low torque at the lower end it will be easier to take standing starts with a heavier flywheel.

Being a large motor, a light flywheel will not cause many problems.

But it depends on your definition of light.

about 5kg would be as light as I'd want to go. I think my current one is about 7.5kg.

How is yours on hillstarts Peewee? Any problems stalling if you don't give it enough of a rev?

Nah, its fine.

Car drives like its a 4 cylinder. Absolutely no effort required.

I've driven around all day in 5th before, just cruising through round-a-bouts at 25kph.
