Now I know some of you will have had the same problem, so I'm hoping theres an easy solution. I've stripped down the top end of my engine and discovered that just about every injector harness clip broke as I removed it.
Does someone make a replacement harness ? Or can each individual connector be replaced ?

If your injector clips are similar to a Supra's, I can give you the P/N's, and they're available from two very good Toyota dealers who have supplied the Supra community for years.

Check out the photo below and let me know if your injector connections are similar to either of the two styles shown. If you can't make out the clip configuration PM me your email address and I'll send you a higher res photo.

if u get stuck ive got some harnesses at home i can see if any plugs match

what model is yr 1uz

i can sell u some good 2nd hand ones if i have them

i have never seen all 8 clips break all at once

are the other clips like coolant and stuff ok

I have many incidents that aged plugs break very easily. I hope toyota will sell replacement plug parts. My cranksensor plug cracked too.

I have a Toyota book at home called "Wiring Harness Repair". It shows nearly every connector housing, and pin/socket combination that are used on Toyota's, and most if not all are available from the dealers, either from stock or 2-3 day delivery.

In my case, I bought a used set of Blitz injectors and had the wrong style clips on my harness for them, but was able to find the right ones in this book, had them in a week for less than $25 and they were a perfect fit and no hacking required on the OEM harness.

It's a VERY handy book.

Most of my injector clips are broken. Few others broken here and there over the motor.

It doesn't really matter, I've never had one come off because they have that water seal built in they stay nice and tight.

Thanks for all the replies. From the photo posted, my injectors look like the clip is the same style as the first and third. I've attached a pic of one of mine if that confirms it. yes I would be very grateful if anyone has a part number for a clip to match. I'd prefer to buy a whole set of new clips than go second hand. At least they should give a few years trouble free service.

While I'm on the subject. Will the standard injectors be upto the job for a mildly modded engine? New computer, Ported heads, bigger exhaust valves, hot cam, induction kit and better exhaust system ?

Thanks again for everyones input

I think this is the connector that you need. It fits JDM 440cc Supra injectors and the Blitz 850cc. If you know anyone with a JDM twin turbo Supra, you might try test fitting one of your injectors

Looks your injector is from the JDM 1uzfe. Its flow 220 cc/min and the clip John C. discribed will work. Its a TYPE E clip. However, Supra MKIII 7MGTE (440 cc/min US Spec) will not work or at least it wouldn't be plug and play. Slight mods will required. The US Spec MKIII clip i believe its TYPE C clip. Thanks for the part number John. Do you have a 1uzfe crank sensor clip? My broke off and needed one. I just don't feel confortable driving long distance thinking with a large bump the connector comes off. I guess its a piece of mind. If possible you can scan me a copy of the common clips.

One of my injector clips is broken but it hasn't tried to fall out in 12 months of driving.

I'm just leaving it as once in and the loom is held in place it shouldn't move.

The more you play with the loom the more trouble it will give. After 15 yars they're a bit fragile.

elliotaw - cam change = injector change.

Stock injectors will limit you to about 200rwkw
A cam change (and tune) will put you over this.
If you are running it on factory ecu then the factory injectors should be fine.

Ok, so if I change cam profile I will need bigger injectors. Is there some kind of table or formula to calculate which injectors I will need?

I will have to run temporarily with the standard ecu until my car has been signed off by my engineer. As soon as that happens I will fit an aftermarket one (maybe Link ? ).

I think the US Spec LS or SC400 251 cc/min Injectors (Dark Green Top) would be a step up upgrade. If you need more fuel, the Supra MKIII 7MGE (Yellow Top 295 cc/min) would be a nice upgrade too. They are all plug and play. The stock ecu can handle the 295 cc/min without any problem.

Base your injectors on your desired hp.

As a VERY loose base, on the 1uz, 1cc injector will be good for 1rwkw.

if u run std cu u have to run std injectors
get car runnin std first then do the mods

if u get 30% bigger injectors yr mixtures will be way out

the std ecu will not compensate and it will run like a busted ass

puttin cams in it is a big job too about 10 to 20 hours on doin tappets if u do it yrself
and if u have the right shims and tools
