Sorry i meant dont woory bout the dealership price cuz im not trying pay that much...lol

You're not getting a response from your power steering. Have you checked your fluid level? is there any humming noises coming from the engine bay?

Also, did you hit something in the past?

expect to pay a lot at the dealer especially if you have to change the rack, approximately $5-6k with labour and parts.

yes i checked tha levels, havent hit aything, what kinda sound should i be listening for? like i said tho, the only time i have a problem is from the steering wheel being centered to 45 degrees left and right, but beyond that it behaves perfectly normal...

hey i finally got a chance to take a closer look at the problem. upon examining tha bottom of my car and having someone turn my wheel in the bad area about 45 degrees, i noticed sumthing swaying left to right. there is a bolt that a bushing on it and either the bolt is lose or the bushing is compressed, so there is a gap when the wheel is near straight, but when i pass a certain rotation point, the bushing catches and allows my tires to turn.....so im going to try and tighten this bolt tomarrow and see if its really ust loose, i couldnt move it bare handed so i need to check it whith a socket wrench....

It should be a whinning noise, but since you checked the power steering fluid level it probably isn't.

What kind of terrain (flat surface, road tilting to the left or right) are you on when your steering wheel is 45degrees left?
Is the steering angle fixed at 45degrees away from the center?

Just in case you hadn't realised, there's actually two of those bushes, the horizontal one you've pulled out, and one vertically that's a pain in the ass to get out.

Can take some pics later if you can't find it but it's pretty easy to work out.

can't really watch the video at work, and still need some more pics to determine where the leak is. Do you live in the DC area?

See if there's another leak from somewhere. I'm guessing you have an oil leak, and a steering rack issue. The way that Steering wheels are, you have to adjust and tighten a couple of nuts on your axle, and then get an alignment to fix any camber/caster issues. Since you PSPump isn't leaking I have no idea where the wetness is coming from.
