If you use the vehicle for off-road use a high stall may work against you when in tight situations.
It will be easier to inch a vehicle forward at lower revs than at say 2,500rpm.
That's why autos are better in most 4x4 situations.

Over the years I have taught myself to 'left foot brake' with an auto and plan to use the brakes /accelerator to control forward speed in those situations. That was a major factor in the choice of an auto box.
To make that easier I am modifying the standard manual 3 pedal setup so the redundant clutch pedal will operate the brakes so I can drive it like a go-cart...
I hoped a hi stall would make a bit more torque available to climb slowly over those obstacles... But I suppose I will have approx. 2.5 times more torque than standard so it may not be a problem...
From memory Lex's convertor had a stall speed around the 2200rpm mark??
