Thanks muzza you raise a good point. i did give the lot a good shake while the fan was on before i mounted it in the car and it seemed fine. when the fan is on the fan and shroud sucks in toward the radiator and hardly moves at all. this, of course, does not mean **** all until drive the car. i think i may be an issue but it'll be easy to fix if it does go wrong and at the moment rates pretty low on the priority list! i think i may end up making a full shroud but it can wait and the radiator core needs some work anyway.
keep the points coming guys, the more probs you find now the easier they are to fix!
