Hi, my name is Joe and I just registered here. I stumbled across this forum using Google. I work in the parts department for a local Toyota dealer, I'm about to purchase a 2006 4Runner 4WD w/ a 2UZ... Feel free to ask questions, I have access to some pretty good resources here and I'm looking forward to learning from everyone else too.

Hey, can you tell me anything about the new 2007 Toyota Landcruisers iand if they are still being made.....I have always been a huge fan of the Toyota Landcruisers throughout the years....My immediate family owns a 74 showroom cruiser, 93 cruiser, and a 98 Cruiser, all very nice loaded rides...

What did you want to know about it? They use the 2UZ, they're full-time 4WD. I don't think they're any different than the last few years... or are you talking about the FJ Cruiser?

What size motor, how much HP's, any interesting gadgets?...That kind of stuff....Thanks...

It uses the same 4.0 liter V6 as the Tacomas, 4Runners and Tundras. I think they're rated around 240 horsepower and 280 lb-ft. of torque. There is a full time 4WD model available, a 6-speed manual transmission or 5-speed auto. They have VSC, Traction Control, and ABS with EBD just like most other Toyota vehicles. There are a lot more accessories available from Toyota compared to other models. I think it's pretty cool if that's what you're looking for (compared to a Wrangler, the smaller Hummer, etc) but I just don't like that type of vehicle very much. I drove one when they were first released and it's just not my "cup of tea".

Yeah, the body style is not the greatest in my opinion but it sounds like it is a loaded cruiser that can get it done...V6 4.0L is what's in them? That's too bad, I was hoping for the 4.7 tundra motor or something of that level to accomadate offroad abuse....
