I have just finished talking to Nigel from Streamline Exhausts in Adelaide about LS400/Celsior headers after seeing the headers on this site .
Unfortunatly he wasn't able to jig up for the set he made .
However he is quite happy to do so and then do runs of 10 at a time .
For all of this to even start I/he needs a donor LS or Celsior .
As it turns out he was not totally happy with the collector and pipe size himself at the time , but as thats the size of plates and material that arrived he was stuck with it because of time constraints [ is that how it's spelt ?] , it's the old story , race what ya got !!
So if he was to make some more they would be 1 1/2 instead of 1 5/8 and smaller collectors to match and they would bolt up to the original system .
Price is yet to be decided but somewhere between Aus $600.00 to $800.00 .
Orders and deposits would be taken and when the orders reach 10 he would run a batch off .
I myself want a set of headers for my Celsior that won't cost a fortune , benefits would be that it rev's out a bit quicker , runs a bit more economically and gains around 10 to 15 HP [ at least ] , as mine is a family car I would be very happy with that , at that cost .
HP gains might even be more than that , however that would just be a bonus .
So can someone in Adelaide donate their car for a while , while they are made ?
As another note those headers in the pic's where made using a Mig for the welding and as such they look more than OK , pretty good in fact , now Nigel has himself a Tig welder to play with so they would be even neater .

Adelaide LS400/Celsior owners STAND UP AND BE COUNTED !!

BENEFITS : a cheap set of headers !!....FITTED !!! How good can it get !! LTYWY

Umm... sorry I can't help at the moment, but I may be interested in a set of headers... (as I may be getting a Lexus from Japan, but its still in the works)

someone give their car!!! lol

Good Job Rich.

Took me 2 years to get the US spec headers built. Sounds like your man is going the exact same route as I did with a bolt into the stock system design and the smaller 1.5" primaries.

AJ, you may have noticed my comments in your link. Did you notice above where Kiwi states

In fact I specified a 1.625" hole in the S&S head flanges but 1.50" pipe. This is to swage the pipe at the head so there will be no pipe to port mismatch and in fact a slight A/R transition is created.

He states above that the new design will bolt to the stock exhaust. If keeping the stock cats that would require a design similiar to the ones I posted.

if they are like the pic you posted, where they bolt upto the stock exhaust, with different length runners, noone is going to want them :)

Well this is open to debate , maybe they should be made as original units in the pic [ close to equal length ] but just with the smaller pipe diameter and a slightly smaller collecter to match . initial idea was to make them easy to bolt in , I suppose one should go for maximum gain possible , it would not be much extra time or money to alter the standard system to allow for the greater length of the new headers even if it means doing without the cats or fitting other cats to suit .
Still need someone in Adelaide with an LS400/Celsior to start all this off .

well Hello Kiwi in Aus, im the one who Neigel did the exhaust for & yes ive donated my car back to him again so he can make up a jig to do sets for new or factory systems! Dont know why you'd use a factory system thats on the car with the headers anyway its way to restrictive!
Anyway hes got my car back for 2 weeks so he can do some sets, you will notice to power difference when you drive it with a full new system as I deffinately did!

So you can rest now!
LOL

Oh Boy !!

Top stuff , I will give him a ring tomorrow to make sure he makes them the same configiration as yours , just with 1 1/2 pipe diameter .
Can't wait , I'll have to put my order in , thank you LS Kid !!
