what sort of fuel consuption can i expect from my 1uz fe when i finish putting it in my 4runner RV6

In my SC4 I typically get about 15mpg city with a heavy foot, and up to about 23 mpg on the highway. I wouldnt expect expect anything better than that from a 1uz. Anything from 15 to 19mpg I think would be reasonable for your application. Aerodynamic drag makes quite a difference on fuel consumption at speed.

My 2wd Hilux with 3.9 diff is doing about 2,500rpm at 100km/hr and seems to get betweend 9 and 10L/100km - it should be much better once I move to a 3.5 diff

The worse my 1UZ-FE 4Runner has got so far is about 22l/100km, but that was mostly driving on the beach, around town its getting around 18l/100km and on the highway 15l/100km. Its worse around town and offroad than the old V6 (not by much) and better on the highway. The difference the truck is to drive now is worth every little cent of extra fuel. I still haven't stopped smiling since the first time I drove it.

my 2wd lux has 3.45 gears and 29inch tires and I got 25 mpg on the open road and I flogged the thing as hard as I could for half the trip and gently for the other half, I was supprised, might even get better if I dont thrash it (like thats gunna happen)
