My Lexus is officially for sale:sad:

I've been searching for months for my new dream car, and it looks like I finally found a match.

My car is a 1991 LS400 Black w/ the gray two-tone @ 235,800 miles and still running better than any 1st gen out there. (I can almost guarantee that)

Car has absolutely no mechanical problems. This car is my daily driver that I've been using for communting from my home to school when I was a student @ SDSU (50 mile round trip on the highway). Now I commute to work which is 30 miles round trip. My daily commute is 80% on the freeway.

I got the car from my cousin who picked it up at the Los Angeles dealer auction back in 2001 @ 143k miles. I've done nothing but put a total of $10k back in the car for maintainance and upgrades. This car is my baby.

I've been putting in 20w50 Valvoline Maxlife with K&N oil filters for the past 70k miles and have only used Valvoline Maxlife for the power steering, fuel injector cleaners as well. There are no oil leaks or power steering leaks. The reason is because of the fluids I've used for the car. I can explain everything I've done over the phone to those who are interested.

Another note, I've only put in 91 octane in the fuel tank, ABSOLUTELY nothing else. I understand that when a car states premium fuel, I put premium.

Engine:
Timing belt, water pump, cam sensors, spark plugs, wires, caps, rotors, cam sensors, TPS Sensor, mechanical clutch fan done @ 156k
Alternator replaced 6k miles ago
Starter, EGR pipe, EGR sensor, fuel filter, Transmission mount, O2 sensors, intake manifold gaskets changed within the past 2 years.
Transmission flushed with Toyota Type T-IV about 2 years ago.
Modified Airbox with K&N Filter (have stock airbox)
Muffler Delete Mod with new chrome tips
A/C Compressor and Condensor replaced, recharged with R13 Freon (no substitute), but A/C Lines need service and a new Reciever/Dryer
No Traction Control

Suspension:
18x8.5 Sendel S15 chrome wheels w/ 245/40 Z18 Toyo Proxy-4 Tires (tires are 8 months old)
KYB GR-2 Struts / 1.5" drop (Eibach Springs)
Replace Strut Tower Bushings, bump stops, lower control arms
Supra TT Strut Tower Bar
Energy Suspension Front & Rear Sway Bar Bushings
Dimpled Rotors w/ EBC Green Stuff pads in the front, Axxis metal pads in rear
Goodridge SS Brake Lines

Interior:
Non-Smoker
Gray interior (front seats have been re-upholstered 3 years ago)
Rear seats are original with no tears and are in perfect condition.
Moonroof
No Heated Seats
Replace Shift Knob cover with OEM
Stock Pioneer HU with working LCD, Pioneer CD Changer.
Polk db6500 Components
Entire trunk, trunk lid, and back seat Dyna-mat (for accoustical reasons)
Stereo wires will be left for future owner to install their own system if they choose too (but mine is coming out)

Exterior:
Gray interior (front seats have been re-upholstered 3 years ago)
A/C LCD Display replaced
Brushed Trenz Billet Grill
H3 Fog light conversion
5% Johnsons tint on rear 3 windows, 15% in the front windows (warranty papers in hand)
Rear Defrosters still working 100%
Smoked Tailights

Few things that I know need attention within the next 2 years or until it hits 280k miles are: timing belt, water pump, and the other associated recommended services (i.e. plugs, wires, radiator flush, etc ... common maintainance)

This car in my opinion will go to 500k with no problems. As long as you maintain the car, this thing is bullet proof mechanically. I would hate to let this car go, but it's time for a change and time to move on.

Here is the CARFAX report running until February, but I do have a hard copy at hand.

I am asking for $5000. Please no low ballers, I find it terribly offensive. This is a great chance to turn this car into a VIP ride, something which I couldnt afford to do.

PM me if interested, I am in San Diego.

Hey Persian,

Sucks that you're selling. I think 5k is a reasonable offer. I've been on lextreme.com for a couple years and know that judging by your posts that you're on top of things when it comes to your car. I'd just have to say that for 5k why not just keep the car and get another one? I duno. Anyways. Good luck with the sale. I'd buy it but I could probably use the money to upkeep my ls400 and other cars. Post some pix up.
