Exhaust leak finder

I still wonder if my exhaust is leaking somewhere or all that reckety ticking noise is simply from my new headers.....

Anyways whilst looking for silicone joiners I happened to stumble across this. Sounds like it would be the go for checking exhaust leaks too or would the air likely find its way through the engine backwards before pressurising the exhaust?
