hello,
im doing a conversion into a hilux with a 1uz. i bought a front cut from a soarer and ive just got the engine out now so my next stage is to get all the wireing done so i can put it into the hilux. i want to get everything good to go b4 it goes in because of the limited space between the motor and the firewall.
the front cut i bought was auto and im converting it to manual useing a R151 transmission. im planning to run the motor natrally aspirated, my question is can i use the stock wireing for the conversion to manual? or should i go an aftermarket ecu like the G4 storm? ive been quoted about 1200 au for it which is pretty pricy in that im not going to use forced induction on the motor. can anyone help me out? what should i do?

As you have the original loom and ecu just use that,they are not hard to wire and the info you need is on this site.the $1200 will get you a g4 but you still have to pay for dyno time to tune it.

so theres no issues with the auto trans? as i am converting to manual?

I have not had any issues when i did mine, works perfectly as a manual and mine is a late model 1uz ls400.
